My journey to ULAB's Media Studies and Journalism department was shaped by both aspiration and recognition. ULAB's strong reputation in the MSJ department first drew me towards it, and as I explored it further, I realised it was the perfect place to nurture my interest in storytelling and media. Choosing Digital Journalism as my major felt like a natural step, aligning closely with my long-standing passion for working in front of the camera and engaging with audiences through visual storytelling.
From a young age, I have been passionate about being in front of the camera and performing on stage, finding joy in expressing myself through presentation and storytelling. ULAB became the place where that childhood aspiration slowly transformed into a clearer professional direction. Throughout my journey, I was also actively involved in volunteering activities, particularly with DIMMF, which allowed me to engage with real-world media practices and collaborative environments.
As I approach the end of this chapter, I see this portfolio not just as a requirement but as a meaningful reminder of everything I have learned, experienced, and become. It reflects my journey and my dreams, and serves as a foundation for the path I hope to continue in the world of digital journalism.

This journey has been one of the most defining yet demanding chapters of my life. It took me a little longer than the usual academic timeline to reach graduation, as I initially found the path of Media Studies and Journalism to be quite challenging, both intellectually and practically. There were moments when I questioned my pace, my choices, and even my confidence. Yet, despite the uncertainties, I chose to persist with determination, holding on to the belief that growth often comes with time and resilience.
Throughout this journey, I remained headstrong, even when the road felt overwhelming. What carried me through were the unwavering support and encouragement of my peers, faculties, and friends, who became my pillars of strength during moments of self-doubt. Their belief in me often became the reason I continued to believe in myself. Slowly, I began to evolve, not only as a student but also as a storyteller and communicator within the field of digital journalism.
Now that I stand at the end of this long and meaningful journey, the feeling is almost surreal, as if I am finally catching up with a dream I have been chasing for years. Looking back, every struggle, delay, and breakthrough has shaped me in profound ways.
